Young Ones Client Pitch
Deadline to Apply: March 21
The idea hit you like a bolt of lightning. You feverishly worked to bring it to life. You tried a million taglines before landing on just the right one. Every pixel, every frame, every layer has been immaculately crafted — then thrown in the trash and crafted again. The audience, the reach, the scale, the interaction, all were carefully considered. And now, after putting every last drop of passion and perfection into your work, you can finally say that you created a masterpiece.
And yet, if you can’t sell it to the client, it goes nowhere.
The Young Ones Student Awards is excited to (re)introduce a new element to this year’s Young Ones One Show Brief competition. Students who choose to tackle one of this year’s real-world briefs are encouraged to go an extra step and apply for our Young Ones Client Pitch! The very best ones will be invited to join us at Creative Week in New York City in May 2025 to pitch their ideas in front of a jury that includes representatives from the very brands from the brief competition!
Oh, and did we mention there is a Cash Prize of $2500, to be awarded from the Young Ones stage?
Young Ones Client Pitch is free to enter with an accompanying Young Ones Brief submission, and the team can include anybody who worked on the brief — the creatives, the strategists, the marketing team, whoever helped make it a reality.
How to Apply
After you submit your Young Ones Brief Entry, you can create a copy and enter it into the Client Pitch Competition Category (YOC-100). To create a copy of your entry, go to Closed / Submitted or Open / Drafts and find "Create Copy", which is located under the Entry ID.
Team Size:
- Maximum of 4 people per team. Please provide the name and emails of all participating teammates.
Submission Options:
- Option 1: Copy your existing Young Ones Brief entry and add a 1 to 2-page letter summarizing your pitch.
- Option 2: Copy your existing Young Ones Brief entry and submit a 3 to 5-minute video overviewing your pitch via URL or MOV upload.
Invitation to Pitch:
- At the end of March 2025, invitations to pitch in-person in New York City on May 12, 2025 will be sent to qualified entrants. Please note that not all submitted pitches will be invited to present.
- What is a qualified entrant? This means that the judges found your pitch submission was successful and your regular Brief Competition entry has reached Round 2 of Young Ones Judging. Whether or not you are invited to pitch in-person, we will still share your pitch with our brief sponsors, so we encourage you to put your best foot forward in the application!
- You should only apply for the Client Pitch if you are able to travel to New York City*. If you have questions about visas or travel, do not hesitate to reach out to education@oneclub.org.
*Whether or not you can travel for the Client Pitch, we still encourage you to submit to the Young Ones One Show Brief Competitio
